On Friday 27th March, five Primary Schools took part in a contact blitz at Malone RFC and for a number of players it was their first time ever playing contact rugby.
The teams involved where:
Harding Memorial PS
Gilnahirk PS
Belvior PS
Moneyrea PS
Carryduff PS
All the schools have been coached by Ulster Rugby staff members David Chambers, Sam McBurney or Neill Alcorn.
This coaching has been made possible due to the generous funding of the Separtment of Culture, Arts and Leisure through the ‘Promoting Equality, Tackling Poverty and Social Exclusion through Sport’ programme.
Thanks to the schools for taking time to participate and to Malone RFC for the use of the pitches and changing rooms.
