Rainey Old Boys win Ulster Bank League 2B title

Rainey Old Boys secured the Ulster Bank League Division 2B title with one game to spare after a comprehensive 8-34 win away to Armagh on Saturday.

The Magherafelt side remain undefeated after 14 rounds of the competition, winning 13 games and drawing once. That has resulted in a six point cushion over second placed Barnhall going into the final weekend.

Rainey’s class is highlighted by the fact that they have secured eight try bonus points to date, enabling them to achieve a points difference of +274. That attacking power has been backed up with solid defence, having conceded just 150 points throughout the campaign.

The IRFU Ulster Branch would like to congratulate Rainey on this fantastic achievement.
