Allen Clarke’s side started well with tries from Josh Atkinson and David McIlwaine putting them into a 12 – 3 lead.

Hooker Elvis Taione crossed for the home side for Jersey’s first try and then Drew Locke went over to put the home side into the lead.

However, Ravens’ outhalf, James McKinney, replied with a try of his own before Jersey ran away with the game in the final quarter. First Grant Pointer got a try, then Mike McComish was sinbinned as Jersey piled on the pressure.

Their numerical advantage saw Jersey awarded a penalty try in the game’s final seconds

The result means Jersey leapfrog Ulster into second position in Pool 6. Cornish Pirates are already guaranteed to win the Pool.

The Ravens are back in action next week when they take on Cornish Pirates at Deramore on Friday night (17th January). Kick off is 19:30. Tickets are available at the gate and start at £8 for an adult and £5 for children. ??Please note: Ulster Rugby season tickets are not valid for this fixture. ?
