Ravens Team V Pirates Announced

The Ulster Ravens, sponsored by CD Group, will face Cornish Pirates tonight in their first British & Irish Cup clash of the season at Mennaye Field, kick off 19.45. David McIlwaine, who returned to Ulster this season after a spell at Bristol, will start at fullback with Peter Nelson and Chris Cochrane on the wing. The Ulster Ravens, sponsored by CD Group, will face Cornish Pirates tonight in their first British & Irish Cup clash of the season at Mennaye Field, kick off 19.45.

David McIlwaine, who returned to Ulster this season after a spell at Bristol, will start at fullback with Peter Nelson and Chris Cochrane on the wing.

James McKinney, who has picked up three caps for the Ulster team this season, will take up the position of outhalf, with Michael Heaney who played the last 15 minutes against Treviso in Ulster's 32 -13 trashing of the Italians at Ravenhill, is named at scrumhalf.

Chris Farrell who has been performing well for Dungannon in the early stages of the Ulster Bank League, is named at centre alongside Ricky Andrew.

Paddy McAllister returns to the Ulster representative side after a season out recovering from a knee injury, Niall Annett and Bronson Ross are also named in the front row. Neil McComb joins Captain Lewis Stevenson to make up the second row with Frank Taggart, Mike McComish and Conor Joyce in the back row. This will be English born, Taggart's first game for the Ravens following an impressive performance for the Ulster U20s team.
