This tournament has witnessed 21 high schools battling it out for the ultimate prize, and we are now down to the final four.
The following semi-finals will be taking place on Thursday 7 December:
- Craigavon Senior High School v Limavady High School
- Bangor Academy v Ballymoney High School
So a little bit about our semi-finalists:
Limavady High School
This is Limavady High’s first entry in the competition since Covid and they have made a great impact by playing some exciting rugby. Coming runner-up in their pool, they defeated Dunclug College in a nail-biting game with a score of 17-19 in the quarter-final to progress.
Craigavon Senior High School
The reigning champions from last year defeated Devenish College in the quarter-final by an almighty 55-17. They finished runner-up in their pool following being narrowly beaten by Bangor AC in their pool game back in September. Will their paths cross again in the final?
Bangor Academy
Bangor Academy have played brilliantly this tournament, winning all five games in their pool with five bonus points. Bangor stormed through their quarter-final with a score of 40-0 against Carrickfergus Academy. It will be interesting to see what this team does next.
Ballymoney High School
Ballymoney High School have a fantastic connection with their local club, and it shows in their performance as they left their pool undefeated. Ballymoney defeated Drumglass High School 38-5 in their quarter-final to progress. The semi-final between this school and Bangor Academy will be a stern test.
