Coach Development Officer, Brian O'Shaughnessy, held three province-wide 'Stage 1 Laws Seminars' for coaches working at mini rugby level.

The seminars were designed to brief the coaches on the IRFU Mini Rugby Regulations and to ensure that a consistent approach to the laws of mini rugby was being adhered to. A total of 65 coaches attended from 27 different rugby clubs across three different venues; Fivemiletown College, Coleraine RFC and Ravenhill.

Brian commented: "It was great to see so many coaches from the majority of mini rugby playing clubs in Ulster represented. The feedback received from the coaches was extremely positive and we hope to run similar workshops in the future."

Gareth Adams, Chairman of the Mini Rugby Committee, added: "We were delighted with the amount of coaches that attended. We now hope to see a more consistent approach province-wide towards the laws of mini rugby, which in turn will make the mini rugby festivals more enjoyable for all involved. I would like to thank Brian and the host venues for accommodating us."

The 27 clubs represented were: Academy, Armagh, Ballyclare, Ballymoney, Ballymena, Ballynahinch, Banbridge, Bangor, BHSFP, Civil Service, Clogher Valley, Donaghadee, Dromore, Dungannon, Holywood, Inishowen, Instonians, Letterkenny, Limavady, Lisburn, Lurgan, Omagh, Portadown, Rainey, Randalstown, Strabane, Virginia.
