Shortlist revealed for Heineken Ulster Rugby Awards

The nominees have been announced ahead of the annual Heineken Ulster Rugby Awards Dinner, which will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Belfast on Thursday 9th May. Marcell Coetzee and Stuart McCloskey lead the way with three nominations each, with both players in contention for the prestigious Bank of Ireland Player of the Year award. Robert Baloucoune, Michael Lowry and Eric O’Sullivan are each shortlisted for two awards, highlighting the impact young players have made for the senior side this season. Neve Jones, Maeve Liston and Claire McLaughlin will contend the Deloitte Ulster Women’s Player of the Year award. In total there will be 18 awards at the event, which celebrates all levels of rugby in Ulster. An award for Danske Bank Girls Schools Player of the Year will be presented for the first time.
