Club captain Iain Henderson, Jacob Stockdale, Stuart McCloskey, Tom O'Toole, Nick Timoney and Tom Stewart have all received a call up for the tournament.
The squad will be captained by Peter O'Mahony and kick off their campaign away to France in Paris on Friday February 2.
Back row O’Mahony, who has captained Ireland on 10 previous occasions, will lead the squad into the Championship, taking over from Johnny Sexton who called time on his career following last year’s Rugby World Cup.
Ireland will host games against Italy, Wales and Scotland at the Aviva Stadium over the course of the championship. In addition to the opener in Marseille, Andy Farrell's men will also face England away in Twickenham.
Ireland celebrated a Grand Slam with a clean sweep of five victories in the 2023 Six Nations Championship. It was Ireland's fourth Grand Slam success and their first to be won in Dublin.
Commenting on today’s squad announcement, head coach, Andy Farrell said: “The forthcoming Men’s Guinness Six Nations presents an opportunity for us to grow and develop. The Six Nations is one of the biggest stages in world rugby and this year’s competition will be keenly fought. I am pleased with the quality of performances by the extended group over the last number of weeks and believe that the squad is in good shape. I would like to congratulate all those who have been selected, especially those who are at the beginning of their international journeys. It doesn’t get much tougher than France away in the opening weekend, but it is a challenge that we will approach in a positive frame of mind."
