St. McCartan's Monaghan win Ulster Carpets U16 Development Cup

St. McCartan's, Monaghan, were the winners of a 15-a-side development blitz at Armagh RFC, organised by the Ulster Branch Community Rugby Team for schools with limited experience of rugby, and sponsored by Ulster Carpets.

The participating schools were nominated for the blitz by school rugby masters and community rugby officers. St. McCartan’s Monaghan, playing in their first rugby blitz, won the Development Cup, having won all four of their games. Runners-up were Abbey GS, Newry.

During the presentation, Ulster Branch Community Rugby Officer Darren McGuigan thanked the schools for taking part, hosts Armagh RFC and Markethill HS's Robbie McMinn for coordinating the event.
