The Stage 3 course is for coaches working with 15 a side teams. The course deals with the Principles of Play by developing them through the use of Key Factor Analysis, applied to the Individual skills, mini-unit skills, unit and team skills.
At the end of the course the coach is expected to identify and rectify technical deficiencies together with the ability of planning, organising, managing, communicating and developing the skills of his/her players through the implementation of sport specific and generic modules.
The course develops the coach as 'Challenger'.
Participants must have proven rugby playing/coaching experience
â?¢ Actively coaching a 15 a side team as a head coach (Stage 3 LTPD. Schools Med XV and above, Youth U15, U17 and above and club adult rugby)
â?¢ Above 18 years of age
â?¢ Full course attendance (including two link courses)
â?¢ Laws test (paper)
â?¢ Log 40 hours coaching (diary) at appropriate level
â?¢ 1 practical coaching assessment
â?¢ Participants must be 18yrs of age
This course takes place over 3 full days and full attendance is required as part of the accreditaion process.
Friday 7th June 10.00am - 7.30pm
Saturday 8th June 9.00am - 7.30pm
Sunday 9th June 9.00am - 3.30pm
Meals are provided throughout the duration of the course so please let us know of any dietary requirements.
