Successful Stage 3 Coaching Course held at Malone RFC

This course is for coaches working with 15-a-side teams. It deals with the Principles of Play by developing them through the use of Key Factor Analysis, applied to the individual skills, mini-unit skills, unit and team skills.

At the end of the course, the coach is expected to identify and rectify technical deficiencies together with the ability of planning, organising, managing, communicating and developing the skills of his/her players through the implementation of sport specific and generic modules.

The course develops the coach as 'Challenger'.

Course Director, Michael Black, commented: “The level of expertise our tutors bring to the course really adds to a quality learning environment for the coaches in attendance. To have 30 more stage 3 coaches imparting this knowledge to their club/school players can only be good for raising the level of rugby throughout Ulster.

“Following on from the successful IRFU stage 3 coaching course hosted at Malone RFC, I would like to remind all coaches of another opportunity to attend the IRFU stage 3 course later this summer. We are currently accepting applications for the course which will be hosted at Dungannon Royal School on the 9th-11th August.”
