Ulster Rugby has appointed Chris McNicholl as Lead Physiotherapist, while Tom Clough has joined the Province as Head of Athletic Performance.
Chris, who has extensive experience in high performance sport, is responsible for leading the delivery of Ulster Rugby’s injury prevention and rehabilitation practices.
Chris joined Ulster as Senior Squad Physio in May 2016, having worked as a Senior Physiotherapist with Sport Institute Northern Ireland (SINI) for nine years.
He worked at numerous elite multi-sport events during his time with SINI, most notably with Team GB at the Rio Olympics in 2016 and with Team NI at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi and Glasgow.
Tom joined the organisation this week from rugby league side Hull Kingston Rovers, where he was the club’s Head of Performance.
Within his new role with Ulster, Tom will lead the strength and conditioning programme for the senior squad.
Prior to joining Hull KR, Tom held the position of Head of Strength & Conditioning at fellow Super League club Bradford Bulls, while he has also worked with the England Academy and Youth squads.
