Malone have included Ulster development player Conor Joyce in their starting XV and he will captain the side from number 8. He and his brother Kieran are one of two pairs of brothers in the Malone match day squad, along with John and Neil Burns.
Conor Joyce and John Burns are joined in the back row by Ben McDonnell, while Ben Alexander and Corry Tipping will start in the second row for Malone. Philip Eadie, Darryl Maxwell and former Methody Schools’ Cup winning captain, Ross Kane, line up in the front row.
Jack McMurtry and the experienced Josh Pentland combine at half back, with Kieran Joyce and Nathan Browne in midfield. Andy Bryans, Michael Barker and Ulster U20 wing Adam Liddell form a potent back three.
‘Hinch have named Hughes Insurance Academy hooker Jonny Murphy in their team, with Jonny Simpson and Stuart Orr either side of him. Ulster player James Simpson is joined by Jonny Madden in the engine room and the County Down outfit have a highly competitive set of loose forwards in the shape of David McGuigan, Paul Pritchard and Mike Graham.
Both teams have plenty of firepower on the bench, with ‘Hinch able to call on Ulster Academy prop Craig Trenier and Josh Donaldson, among others, while Malone may look to use the lively Shane Kelly.
