On Saturday 16th November, Academy 3rd XV and Belfast High School Former Pupils 2nd XV played a match despite the latter having just seven players available.
Rather than cancelling, both clubs decided to proceed with a 12 a side fixture, with five Academy players pulling on the blue jersey.

A key aim of the IRFU (Ulster Branch) and its affiliated clubs is to provide as many opportunities as possible for players to play matches.
