With just over one month to go until Family Fun Day 2018, we caught up with organiser Jennifer McFedries, who most of you will recognise from our Ticket Office!

How long have you been organising the Ulster Rugby Family Fun Day?
I have been organising the Family Fun Day for the last five years. Each year it gets more and more popular, and last year we had a record attendance of over 3,500 people.
Why is it an important part of Ulster Rugby’s summer calendar?
Fun Day is an important date in the Ulster Rugby calendar for two main reasons. Firstly, it allows us to fundraise and raise awareness for an extremely worthwhile charity, Include Youth.
And secondly, it is a great opportunity for us to open our doors and let supporters experience the stadium in a different setting to a match night. Fun Day allows supporters to meet all the players face-to-face before the new season starts. The players will also be signing autographs and taking part in various activities so watch out for them!
It is also a great opportunity to showcase the game - rugby skills sessions are timetabled throughout the afternoon for experienced players to brush up on their skills, or, for those who haven’t played rugby before to get a taster of the sport.
What have you organised so far?
I have booked lots of fun and exciting activities, such as:
Laser tag, a climbing wall, inflatable assault course, petting farm, archery, face painters, balloon modellers and go karts.
As well as the skills sessions, mini Tag Rugby matches will be taking place - where you might even find a member of the Ulster Rugby squad on your team!
This year, for the first time, I am introducing a ‘Toddler Zone’, so there really is something to keep every member of the family entertained!
What are some FAQs you could answer for people who wish to attend?
If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me on Jennifer.mcfedries@ulsterrugby.com.
