His is the third Ulster player to be included in the Lions squad after Tommy Bowe and Rory Best.
He comes in following a calf injury to Alex Corbisiero that continues to be treated and assessed.
Court will join up with the squad tomorrow and go straight on to the replacements’ bench alongside Best for Tuesday’s game against the RaboDirect Melbourne Rebels.
He replaces Makovina Vunipola, who has been withdrawn.
Head Coach, Warren Gatland, has confirmed that Tommy Bowe will be available for the second test against Australia in Melbourne on Saturday.
The Lions won the first test of the three test series 23 points to 21.
