U17 Schools v U18 Clubs Challenge

The Schools Under 17 Development and Ulster Under 18 Clubs teams recently played a development training game at Ballymena Academy.

The game served as a useful warm-up for the Under 18’s as they prepare for their upcoming inter-provincial challenges.

The game was played over 3 x 25 minute periods with both teams giving game time to their squads.

It was evident that the coaches of both sides had worked hard in preparing their teams and this was reflected in the work rate of both teams.

In the final 25 minute period the U17 Schools just edged out the U18 Clubs, with out-half Robbie Johnson touching down and then converting to give his side a 2 point victory.

However, the winners on the day were all the lads and their coaches for the rugby display they put on after a summer of hard work.
