It has been confirmed that Ulster A, sponsored by CD Group, will travel to face Bedford Blues at Goldington Road in the quarter-finals of the British & Irish Cup on Easter Saturday (31st March, kick-off 3.00pm).
The draw has also taken place for the semi-finals, with the winners of Bedford Blues v Ulster A faced with an away final four clash against the winners of Ealing Trailfinders and Yorkshire Carnegie or Cornish Pirates* on the weekend of 20/21/22 April.
The Ulster men booked their place in the quarter-finals on Saturday afternoon with a 24-13 win over Scarlets Premiership Select at Llandovery RFC (watch highlights). The win meant Ulster A topped Pool 5 with 23 points, ranked fifth of the eight quarter-finalists.
Looking ahead to the quarter-finals, Ulster A coach Kieran Campbell commented:
“We know Bedford will be a difficult place to go. It has its own unique atmosphere and a difficult pitch to play on but, with the way our guys are developing and the type of resilience we’re getting in the team, we’re in a very good position to go there and compete and do very well.”
