Ulster 'A' team named to face Cambridge RFC

Academy Manager, Gavin Hogg, has named his match day Ulster 'A' squad to face English Champ Rugby side, Cambridge RFC, at Ellgia Fields tomorrow afternoon. (KO: 3pm)

Cambridge RFC are led by former Ulster Rugby Skills coach, Craig Newby, who took up the reins as Head Coach this summer.

The Ulster 'A' starting XV features five members of the Ulster Senior Men's squad.

Senior player, James Humphreys, captains the team starting at fly-half, with Academy back, Clark Logan, starting at scrum-half.

New Senior Men's summer signing, Rory McGuire, starts at tighthead prop alongside Academy forwards Henry Walker and Jacob Boyd at hooker and loosehead prop respectively.

Development locks, Charlie Irvine and Joe Hopes, start together in the second row.

Completing a forward pack is a back row full of former Ireland U20s players, with Academy forwards James McKillop and Bryn Ward starting as the blindside and openside flankers.

Senior player, Lorcan McLoughlin, starts at number eight.

In an exciting and youthful backline, Instonians RFC centre, Bevan Prinsloo, forms the centre partnership with Academy back, Jonny Scott.

In an all-Academy back three, Ethan Graham starts on the left wing, with Lukas Kenny on the right flank. Dan Green takes his place in the backfield at full-back.

NTS and Instonians RFC prop, Blake McClean and Ballynahinch RFC hooker, Josh Hanlon, are named on the bench alongside Academy prop, Tom McAllister, NTS and City of Armagh RFC forward, Thomas Dougan, and Academy back rower, Josh Stevens.

City of Armagh RFC winger, Sam Cunningham, is named as a backline replacement, alongside Academy back Wilhelm De Klerk and scrum-half, Callum Soper.
