Ulster Academy players to start for Ireland U20s

Hughes Insurance Academy players Rory Scholes, John Donnan and Conor Joyce have been named to start for the Ireland Under-20s team, sponsored by PwC, in the side's first game of the 2013 IRB Junior World Championship in Stade de la Rabine, Vannes.

Leinster’s Luke McGrath, one of just two players with previous experience of playing in the tournament, will captain the team for their opening game against Australia. The other, Josh Van Der Flier, has been named in the back row.

Ireland face a difficult task in Pool B against Southern Hemisphere trio Australia, Fiji and New Zealand. Ireland’s pool games will be broadcast live on TG4 along with the semi-finals and final games of the tournament.
