There were three Ulster Carpets Youth Finals played at the Mid Ulster Sports Arena Cooktown on Saturday 22nd April.
Ulster Carpets U14 Shield Final
Lisburn 22-19 Ophir
Lisburn edged out Ophir in a closely fought U14 Shield Final. The referee Michael Brown (assisted by Lynsey Davison and Peter Doherty) ensured the game was kept flowing, and flow it did, with Ophir taking an early lead. However as soon as Lisburn caught up, Ophir moved further ahead. Eventually Lisburn took the lead late in the second half and refused to give it up, holding on for the win.

Ulster Carpets U14 Bowl Final
Ballyshannon 17-12 Larne
In the U14 Bowl final, Ballyshannon won by a tight game against Larne, where the game was offciated by Stephen Monaghan and assistant referees Tony Henry and Peter Doherty. Ballyshannon captain Cian Barden received the U14 Bowl from Mr Paul Hart.
Ulster Carpets U18 Bowl Final
Instonians 16 - 27 Ballynahinch
The U18 Bowl title returned to the Ballynahinch clubhouse, thanks to victory over a brave Instonians side. After trading penalties and a passage of territorial advantage to Instonians they could not increase the score.
Ballynahinch, despite being under a lot a pressure, were more efficient when presented with scoring opportunities. Instonians battled hard to stay in the game and for a time looked like coming back, but in the end 'Hinch were just too strong and ran out winners.
