Head Coach Dan McFarland’s ‘Fight for Every Inch’ philosophy comes to the fore in a new Ulster Rugby away jersey, designed and produced in partnership with Official Kit Sponsor, Kukri Sports.
The new black jersey is patterned with red and grey angled lines spaced one inch apart in a nod to the performance mantra. The moniker is also subtly included on the bottom left of the jersey and inside the collar, whilst the provincial crest takes pride of place on the bottom right hand corner in recognition of the team’s representation of all nine counties.
Terry Jackson, General Manager at Kukri Sports Ireland, said: “The Fight for Every Inch mentality was plain to see in the recent Guinness PRO14 Semi-Final win over Edinburgh and when the team gave it their all in the Final. I hope the new design helps continue to embed this tenacious spirit in the culture of Ulster Rugby.”
Ulster Rugby CEO, Jonny Petrie, said: “It’s been great fun developing the new away jersey with Kukri Sports, introducing subtle references to Dan’s approach to performance and the pride both our Men’s and Women’s teams have in representing the province. I hope our supporters like the new range, and we look forward to revealing a cracking new European jersey very soon.”
Earlier this week, Ulster Rugby announced that the club’s Men’s and Women’s teams will wear the same home jersey design for the first time in the province’s history over the coming season - both go on sale in store and online at ulsterrugbyshop.com today.
The Men’s home jersey is available in both men’s and women’s fit, whilst the Women’s Team jersey is available in a limited range of sizes in women’s fit only. The 2020/21 away jersey is available in men’s fit only.
