Ulster Development team named to take on Connacht

The Ulster team to play Connacht in Friday’s behind-closed-doors Development Interprovincial fixture at the IRFU High Performance Centre has been named. Harry Sheridan has retained the captaincy for this game, having led the side last weekend versus Munster. He will partner Adam McNamee in the second row. Callum Reid is named at loosehead, with James McCormick selected at hooker and Scott Wilson at tighthead. Lorcan McLoughlin, Reuben Crothers and David McCann make up the starting back row. Shea O’Brien will play his third successive Development Inter-Pro game at full-back, with Conor Rankin and Jude Postlethwaite on the wings. Ben Carson and Angus Curtis form the centre pairing, and James Humphreys will partner fellow Irish U20s half-back, Conor McKee. Tom Stewart, Josh Hanlon, Joe Mawhinney, Paddy Browne, James McNabney and Zac Ward are named among the forward replacements. Ross Taylor, Lewis Finlay and Ross McKay are the back line options.
