Ulster Independent Clinic announced as Ulster Rugby's Healthcare Provider

Ulster Rugby is delighted to welcome the Ulster Independent Clinic (UIC) on board as its official Healthcare Provider.

Ulster Rugby has had a very long and successful association with the Ulster Independent Clinic, but this new agreement formalises the alliance.

As part of the arrangement, UIC will continue to provide specialist support in the rehabilitation of players and it has also donated high-spec equipment to the medical room at Kingspan Stadium.

Ulster Rugby’s Medical Director, Michael Webb, has welcomed the arrangement:

“This is a very positive move for Ulster Rugby. The Ulster Independent Clinic already provides us with brilliant access to their facilities and a top class service. Player welfare is vital in the current game and it’s crucial that our players receive first class medical attention. The role that the Clinic plays in this regard is critical.

“This additional support to our medical team will enable us to provide the very best care for our professional players, ensuring they spend as much time as possible on the field of play.”

Malcolm Crone, Ulster Independent Clinic, added:

“The Ulster Clinic has been involved with Ulster Rugby since the onset of professionalism and indeed dating back to the amateur days. The Clinic is delighted to expand this relationship with the provision of equipment, such as the state-of-the-art anti-gravity treadmill, which is an excellent way to rehabilitate players.

“It’s important that we work together with Ulster Rugby to ensure that the players are as fit as possible for playing season, but also for their long-term futures.”
