Join Ulster Rugby at Belfast Pride Parade 2022

Ulster Rugby will once again be taking part in Belfast Pride, and is calling on clubs and supporters to get involved, as the parade returns to the city on Saturday 30 July.

Following a two-year break from in-person celebrations, this year’s parade will mark the second time the club has participated in the event, as Ulster Rugby continues to promote the values of equality and inclusiveness in rugby.

Ulster Rugby CEO, Jonny Petrie, said:

"We're delighted to once again be part of Belfast Pride, and we're all really looking forward to the 30th of July.

"Back in 2019, we participated in the parade for the first time in what was not only a fantastic day for our players, staff, and volunteers, but also an important step forward for the organisation.

"We want to continue to show our support for all members of the LGBTQ+ community. Rugby is an inclusive sport, and we are proud to be an inclusive club."

Ulster Rugby will walk alongside sponsor, Bank of Ireland, in this year’s parade.

Belfast Pride 2022

When: The parade will start on Saturday 30 July at 1pm, with build-up from 11.30am.

Route: The route for the Belfast Pride Parade 2022 will be announced shortly. For more info, visit <https://belfastpride.com>

Want to join us?

Ulster Rugby is asking for representatives from our affiliated clubs to join us in the parade.

People taking part in the parade do not need to be LGBTQ+ and we would encourage LGBTQ+ allies to lend their support by joining in.
