Last Saturday at Kingspan Stadium, Ulster Rugby took the opportunity to celebrate women players past and present, ahead of Ireland’s final TikTok Women’s Six Nations game versus Scotland.

The Ulster Women’s Past Players’ event held in the Premium Stand, which was funded by the Department for Communities, acknowledged the effort, contribution, and achievement of those who have previously featured for the Ulster Rugby Women's team.

It also served to launch UR Game UR Network, which marked the first past players’ network event for Ulster. Irish Hockey captain, Katie Mullan presented medals to attendees as a token of appreciation.

It was seen as a starting point, with the network set to provide future opportunities for these past players to connect, develop, support and share with one other, and also the broader Women and Girl's game in Ulster.

In the Nevin Spence Centre, a jersey presentation was made to members of the Deloitte Ulster Senior Women’s team, in recognition of their participation in the 2021 Vodafone Interprovincial Series.

Ulster Rugby Women and Girls’ Rugby Development Manager, Eliza Downey hosted a Q&A session with Irish Hockey legend, Shirley McCay, who shared her experiences and challenges of being an elite athlete. Shirley then presented the jerseys to the Deloitte Ulster Senior Women’s team.
