Ulster Rugby Easter Camps launched

Ulster Rugby has announced details of a programme of camps that will run during the Easter holidays for boys and girls.

This is the first year of the Easter Camps, which will take place at four venues across the Province.

Two-day Junior Camps for boys and girls from P3 to P7 will take place at Belfast Harlequins RFC (10th-11th April) and Portadown RFC (19th-20th April), while one-day School of Excellence Camps for Year 8 to Year 11 boys and girls will be held at Ballyclare High School on 10th April and Rainey RFC on 20th April.

All Ulster Rugby camps are player-centred with delivery by coaches directed to the needs of the participants. Development of the players’ technical and tactical understanding is supported through the use of small sided games throughout the camps.

Each camp is staffed by appropriately qualified and experienced IRFU accredited coaches, and is managed by an experienced member Ulster Rugby staff.

Commenting on the announcement of the camps, Chris Webster, Domestic Rugby Manager at Ulster Rugby said:

“We are delighted to announce our new Easter Camps, in addition to our very successful summer camp programme.

“The Junior Camps are very much about enjoying rugby in a fun and safe environment and are open to both boys and girls, including those who have no prior playing experience, while the School of Excellence Camps focus on developing the skills and abilities of our existing players. We are very fortunate that the content and delivery of these camps has been developed in conjunction with Ulster’s Director of Rugby, Les Kiss.”

The cost of each camp is £25 which includes a promotional code to claim a free stadium tour, including a visit to the Nevin Spence Centre.
