On Friday evening in front of a packed Kingspan Stadium, President of the IRFU (Ulster Branch) John McKibbin accepted 'The Inclusive Sport Award' from Disability Sport NI Vice Chairperson, Angela Hendra MBE.
The Inclusive Sport Award was awarded in recognition of the IRFU Ulster Branch's commitment to creating a sports environment which is fully inclusive of people with disabilities.
This presentation marked the beginning of a new disability action plan, which will be implemented over the next three years in partnership with Disability Sport NI. The plan is designed to help further develop:
The Ulster Branch is one of only three governing bodies of sport in Northern Ireland to receive the Disability Sport NI’s Inclusive Sport Award.
