In line with the new traffic management system put in place at the beginning of the 2019/20 season, Ulster Rugby would like to remind spectators of the following transport details:
PARK & RIDE BUSES
- A free Park & Ride Service operates from Montgomery Road (opposite Podium for Sport), dropping spectators off at the Mount Merrion Avenue turnstiles and picking up from the same location. This service operates on a continuous loop from 90 minutes (2 hours for inter-provincial & European matches) before kick off until 90 minutes after the final whistle.
- A new service from Loop Studios on the Castlereagh Road has recently been added to this loop, to add capacity following the opening of Lisnasharragh Leisure Centre. Spectators who park here will need to cross the road at the main lights and the Park & Ride collection point will be at the bus stop to the right of Lidl.
- A Park & Ride Service operates from Pirrie Park, dropping off and picking up from the Onslow Parade turnstiles. This service also operates on a continuous loop from 90 minutes before kick-off until 90 minutes after the final whistle.
- Please note, do not leave valuables in your car at Park and Ride sites and all vehicles are parked at owner’s own risk.
- Translink continues to manage our Park & Ride Service, which will be in operation from 13:45 to 18:45 on Saturday.
- Spectator safety, enjoyment and convenience is our utmost priority, we therefore ask all Park & Ride users to form an orderly queue in front the turnstiles and relevant signs on each side of the ground (Mount Merrion Avenue and Onslow Parade). Buses will be brought to the front of the queue and loaded in a fair, safe and organised manner. Please respect the stewards and your fellow passengers and you will be facilitated onto buses as soon as possible.
CITY CENTRE SERVICES
- A Translink Metro Rugby Special Bus operates from Europa Bus Centre, departing 90 minutes before kick-off and picking up at SS Moore’s and Lanyon Place on the way to the stadium. This bus will depart from Mount Merrion Avenue (opposite Mount Merrion Parish Church) as soon as possible after the final whistle. A Special Rugby Day Ticket costs £4 for an adult and £2 for a child - this price includes travel on any metro or glider services for the remainder of the day.
- Ulster Rugby operates a free City Centre shuttle service, dropping off at Victoria Square after each game. Buses will depart as soon as possible after the final whistle on a loop for 90 minutes.
- Spectators wishing to use this free service should queue up in front of the Mount Merrion turnstiles behind the City Centre/Victoria Square sign.
TAXIS
- Please note there is no longer a Fonacab taxi rank operating within the stadium post-match.
- Vehicle access to Onslow Parade is restricted from 4 hours before kick-off and 1 hour after the final whistle (bus services only).
- Vehicle access to Mount Merrion Avenue is restricted from 30 minutes before the final whistle and 1 hour after the final whistle (bus services only).
- Please note that taxis can only pick up outside the stadium when the above roads re-open (1 hour after final whistle). It is advised that spectators pre-order their taxis in line with these timings.
- If you wish to depart via taxi earlier than this, is it advised that you arrange for collection from a local rank or pick up point outside the event footprint.
- Spectators with mobility issues requiring taxis to/from the stadium may apply during the restricted times for access in advance by emailing Jennifer.McFedries@ulsterrugby.com.
ADDITIONAL
- Please respect local residents when travelling to and from Kingspan Stadium and refrain from parking in the surrounding community.
- The PSNI have issued the following message to supporters: Cars parked within 15m of junctions around the stadium or those obstructing driveways of residents will face enforcement action, which may include the issuing of fixed penalty tickets or in extreme cases the towing of offending vehicles.
