Ulster Rugby to host event celebrating Ulster Women’s Past Players

It'll take place at Kingspan Stadium on the 30th of April, ahead of Ireland's 6 Nations game with Scotland.

Past players of the women's team interesting in attending are being encouraged to get in touch with Ulster Rugby using this form.

The event, which is being funded by the Department for Communities, is being used to acknowledge the effort, contribution, and achievement of those who have previously featured for the Ulster Rugby Women's team.

It'll also be used to launch UR Game UR Network, which will serve as the first past players network for Ulster.

This event is seen as a starting point, with the network set to provide future opportunities for these past players to connect, develop, support, and share with one other, and also the broader Women and Girl's game in Ulster.

Eliza Downey, Women & Girls Rugby Development Manager:

"Creating an opportunity to celebrate our Past Players is something the organisation has wanted to do for a long time. Ulster Rugby wants to recognise the time, sacrifice, commitment and impact these women have made on the game, celebrating the trailblazers, leaders and role models that have pulled on the Ulster jersey over the years."

"It is important for us to acknowledge the past, but also be excited about what the future holds. On the day we will also launch our first ever Past Players Network in the province. The network will not only act as a connector between these women, but create opportunities throughout the year to personally develop and share knowledge."
