Ulster team named to face Connacht in second round of Interpros

Ulster Rugby Senior Women's Head Coach, Murray Houston, has named his side to face Connacht in Saturday's second round of Vodafone Women's Interprovincial Championship match at Kingspan Stadium (KO 2 30pm).

Head coach Murray Houston has named his starting 23.

Following on from last week's opener, slight changes to the fron row have been made with Bronach Cassidy starting at loosehead, India Daley at hooker, and Sophie Barrett at tighthead.

The second row is also tweaked, seeing the experienced Brenda Barr alongside Cara O’Kane stepping out on her first start as lock.

Moya Hill and Maebh Clenaghan will form the dynamic back row duo, with the powerful Brittany Hogan leading the side from number eight.

Captain Kathryn Dane will distribute from scrum-half, while Abby Moyles returns to pull the strings at fly-half.

The midfield partnership will feature Peita McAlister at inside centre and last week's try-scorer, Tara O'Neill at outside centre.

Catherine Martin makes a highly anticipated debut on the left wing, with Lucy Thompson on the right. Lauren Farrell-McCabe continues at full-back.

Houston sticks to 5:3 split amongst the replacements, with with Christy Hill, Megan Brodie, Ava Fannin, Gemma McCamley and Stacey Sloan as forward replacements, with Rachael McIlroy, Paige Smyth and Vicky Irwin ready to make an impact for the backs.

Megan Simpson is reserve for this weekend's team.
