Ulster team named to face Edinburgh at Hive Stadium

Ulster Rugby Head Coach, Richie Murphy, has named his matchday squad to take on Edinburgh tomorrow night in Round 2 of the BKT United Rugby Championship. (KO: 7pm)

After kicking things off with a bonus-point victory at home over Dragons, Ulster travel to the Scottish capital for their first away trip of the campaign.

There are four personnel changes to the side who started last week, with Tom Stewart, Sean Reffell, Werner Kok and Stewart Moore coming in for their first starts of the season.

Iain Henderson captains the team in the second row, pairing with Harry Sheridan in the engine room.

Hooker, Tom Stewart, starts after his try-scoring impact from the bench against Dragons, joining loosehead prop, Callum Reid, and tighthead prop, Tom O’Toole in the front row.

In the back row, last week’s first half try scorers, Cormac Izuchukwu and Nick Timoney start at blindside flanker and number eight, with Sean Reffell starting as openside flanker.

Nathan Doak and Jack Murphy start again as the half-back partnership at nine and ten.

After a Player of the Match performance against Dragons, in-form winger, Zac Ward, starts on the left wing, replacing the injured Jacob Stockdale.

On the opposite flank, South African winger, Werner Kok, makes his first appearance of the new season.

Stuart McCloskey and James Hume resume their formidable centre partnership in the midfield.

Versatile back, Stewart Moore, completes the starting lineup at full-back.
