Ulster U18 Girls Squad announced, with Jones leading the way

Malone RFC's Neve Jones has been appointed captain of Ulster U18 Girls, and she will lead a panel of 26 players in their first ever interprovincial series later this month.

The squad was selected through a number of screening sessions over the summer months. Jones will be supported in this role by Vice-Captain Vicky Irwin, who plays her rugby at Armagh RFC. The two girls know each other very well through their inclusion in recent Regional Development Squads, and also through their selection on the Ulster 7s Squad earlier this summer.

A total of 7 clubs are represented in the squad, which will begin the inter-pros on Saturday 17th September against Leinster at Armagh RFC (kick-off 5:30pm), before playing away against Connacht (25th September) and Munster (1st October). All support for the girls would be very welcome.
