The Ulster Women's Management Team have named an extended training squad as they prepare for the upcoming Interprovincial series.
The Ulster Women's squad, sponsored by Deloitte, have been training at Portadown RFC for the past few months, with twelve of the players having graduated from the U18s programme over the last four years. Performance Consultant Derek Suffern is keen to develop the integration between the Senior squad, the clubs and the Ulster U18 girls so players can see a clear pathway to play at the highest level.
As they taper off their preparations, both the Senior Women and U18 Girls will travel to Sligo this weekend for a friendly challenge. The Ulster Women begin their Interprovincial series campaign away to Leinster on Friday 31st August, followed by a home fixture versus Munster at Portadown RFC on Sunday 9th September. In the final round of games, the Ulster Women will travel to play Connacht.
The final squad announcement will be made ahead of the first game.
