Upcoming Girls Schools' Rugby Competitions

This month sees the start of the 2016 Danske Bank Girls Schools' Cup competition... 

The 10-a-side tag Schools' Cup tournament is open to all secondary school girls aged 12-18 and details for the competition are as follows:

Regional Qualifiers:

• Monday 22nd February, Valley Leisure Centre, 10am-1pm
• Tuesday 23rd February, City of Derry Rugby Club and Clogher Valley Rugby Club, 10am-1pm 
• Wednesday 24th February, Valley Leisure Centre, 10am-1pm
• Thursday 25th February, Virginia Rugby Club, 10am-1pm

Quarter Finals and Semi Finals (Venues TBC):

• Tuesday 8th March, 10am-1pm
• Thursday 10th March, 10am-1pm

Final:

• Tuesday 22nd March, Kingspan Stadium

In addition to the Girls Schools' Cup this year, there is also a CONTACT 7s TOURNAMENT on offer for school girls.

This is open to both U15 (Year 9, 10 and 11) and U18 (Year 12, 13 and 14) players. This will take the format of two optional warm-up blitzes followed by Provincial Finals. The first 7s blitz will take place at the same venues as the Tag Regional Qualifiers. A second (optional) warm up blitz will take place in early April with the Provincial Finals scheduled for week commencing 18th April. Four teams will progress from the Provincial Finals to play at the Aviva Stadium in the IRFU National Finals on Wednesday 27th April.
