A group of Volunteer Fitness Development Coaches recently took part in an induction day held at Ravenhill.
The participants had responded to a request to become involved in the Volunteer Fitness Development Coach scheme, whereby there may be the opportunity to become involved in assisting Ulster Rugby’s Fitness Development Staff in the delivery of Strength & Conditioning programmes at various schools and clubs around the province, as well as receive mentoring from Ulster Rugby staff.
As well as participating in three workshops held in the new professional squad gym over the course of the day delivered by Fitness Development Coaches Joe Gallanagh, Robbie Bremner and Paul Heasley, the group also completed Safeguard training under the guidance of Ulster Rugby’s Volunteer & Policy Development Officer Kerry Spence.
