The club plays their home games at the University's state of the art Upper Malone facility. This recently renovated facility is one of the best outdoor training facilities anywhere in Ireland and also incorporates a video analysis suite and strength & conditioning suite.
The club has a strong tradition of producing players who have progressed to represent Ulster, Ireland and the British & Irish Lions. In recent years the club has seen Iain Henderson, James McKinney, Ian Whitten, David McIlwaine and Tommy Bowe go on to achieve success in the professional game. In the years before, many of the greats of Irish Rugby such as Jack Kyle, David Humphreys, Gary Longwell, Phillip Matthews, Nigel Carr, David Irwin and Trevor Ringland also studied and played with the University.
The Club is unique within Ulster in offering All-Ireland League Rugby in a university club. With an average age of 20, they have an exciting group of young players and play an expansive and attractive game. The club has five adult men's teams and two adult women's team, with both 1st XVs involved in All-Ireland League action. They also have a rugby academy which provides talented young male and female players with strength and conditioning, physiotherapy, skill and personal development workshops as well as sports science support.
The club is currently looking for volunteers, and is prepared to help with training and induction so why not get involved in one of Ulster's most dynamic and progressive Rugby Clubs?
