Ulster Rugby is seeking to appoint a Squad Manager for the U16 Development team.
This is an opportunity for volunteers to become involved at the start of the Representative Player Development Pathway in Ulster. The Squad Manager will provide support to the players and coaching team to create a positive environment which helps to improve the overall performance of Club Youth rugby players in Ulster. This is an ideal opportunity for someone wanting to get into representative rugby management for the first time.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to get involved in the sport they love and to meet coaches, players and managers from a wide variety of backgrounds. They will contribute to the ongoing development of some of the best and brightest young rugby players in Ulster and gain satisfaction from being part of a team where player welfare is central to their individual development.
Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:
- All aspects of the administration of squad activities including ensuring player profile forms are completed, stored safely and shared as appropriate with the coaching team.
- Attending training sessions and maintaining a record of player attendance.
- Sending out correspondence to players, parents and clubs as needed.
- Working closely with the Head/Lead Coaches and liaise with other Squad Managers as needed.
- Liaising with relevant Ulster Rugby staff including Michael Black and Kieran Campbell
(Age Grade & Academy Managers) and Jamie Turkington (Rugby Development Manager).
