Grosvenor RFC is looking for a volunteer to develop experience in video analysis. Working with the 1st XV squad this role will support player development and help to improve the overall team performance.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone wanting to develop their skills and gain valuable experience for a career in the sports industry.
Working closely with the Head Coach you will:
- Record footage of selected 1st XV matches
- Cut and code footage of individuals and circulate footage to coaches and players within agreed timelines.
- Keep a database of footage with all of the important identifying information.
You should be able to commit to recording approximately 15 matches throughout the season, usually on Saturday afternoons at various locations throughout Ulster. In addition, you should allow time each week to cut, code and circulate the footage.
This role will begin in September 2016 and is based at Gibson Park Gardens, Belfast (Grosvenor ground shares with Malone RFC).
You will receive basic training and be provided with the club’s equipment to enable you to carry out the role (camera, tripod, editing and analysis software etc.). All reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.
It is essential that you have a good understanding of rugby, including individual and unit roles and with some experience of recording and editing sports footage. Preferably you will have proven editing and analysis skills and ideally have experience of using Performance Analysis software.
