Weekend's adult male and female fixtures postponed

Given the adverse weather conditions, the Ulster Rugby Competitions Management Committee (CMC) have been assessing the impact of this on this weekend's scheduled adult male and female rugby fixtures.

While there are some areas that have escaped the most severe weather conditions it seems likely that a considerable number of pitches will be unplayable over the weekend. There are also several pitches, while not having a covering of snow, are nevertheless frozen with little immediate prospect of any significant rise in temperature. Several clubs have raised health and safety concerns around travelling to matches this weekend.

Taking into account the ongoing adverse weather, the state of many pitches and concerns around travelling for players, referees and spectators, the CMC has decided, in order to provide certainty to clubs, that all Ulster Rugby adult male and female fixtures scheduled for this weekend will be postponed.

Clubs are asked to re-arrange postponed matches at the earliest opportunity.
