A preview of the second round of fixtures in the Women's All-Ireland League: Malone will hope to make it two wins from two games in the Women's AIL as they make the trip to Old Belvedere this weekend. Their game kicks off at 5pm on Saturday the 2nd of October at Ollie Campbell Park. In Round One, Lauren Maginnes and Rachael McIlroy shared the played-of-the-match honour as Malone, under new coach Jamie McMullan, got off to a good start with a 25-17 bonus point victory over Galwegians. Their 5 tries were scored by Sarah Murphy, Rebecca Smyth, Sophie Armstrong, Holly Brannigan and Emma Catherine Jordan. Cooke will play their first game of the season at Shaw's Bridge as they host Ballincollig at 2:30pm on Saturday, trying to recover from last week's defeat. Helen McGhee and Naomi McCord scored early tries, but they lost 46-12 to UL Bohemians.
