Women's Domestic Rugby Preview - 25 September 2016

Have a look at our preview of Sunday's women's domestic rugby action in the All Ireland League and Ulster Rugby Championship...

All Ireland League

Cooke v Blackrock

Cooke take on Dublin side Blackrock at Shaws Bridge on Sunday 25th September, in the Ulster club’s third match of the season. Currently sitting 4th in the All Ireland League following a win and a loss, Cooke will want to get back to winning ways following an incredibly narrow 1 point defeat away to Galwegians last week. As the only Ulster side in the AIL this season, all eyes will be on Cooke, hoping for victory.

Ulster Rugby Women’s Championship

League newcomers Ballynahinch are resting having had two games under their belt with a 19-0 victory over Cavan two weeks ago and a narrow 15-14 defeat to City of Derry last weekend.

The other four teams will be in action on Sunday with Malone travelling to Cavan to start their campaign and City of Derry hosting Enniskillen.  City of Derry will be hoping to knock Ballynahinch off the top spot.  Cavan will be keen to get a win following their defeat to Ballynahinch in the first game of the season. Malone and Enniskillen will be hoping to get their campaigns off to a winning start.
