Workshop: Succession Planning For Coaching In Clubs

Ulster Rugby will host a workshop at Ravenhill on 9th April focussing on succession planning for coaching in clubs.

EVENT DETAILS:
Wednesday 9th April 2014
7-9pm
Premium Lounge, Ravenhill

This workshop (designed by Sports Coach UK) will address and offer support for clubs in the following areas:
- Identification and recruitment of coaches
- Coach education and development
- Deployment of coaches
- Recognition, reward and retention of coaches

The workshop looks at why coaches ‘drop out’ of rugby and how to reduce this loss. It also looks at more practical aspects such as how to draft an advertisement for a new coach/replacement coach as well as preparing a job or role description for your coach. What qualifications should your coach have and where is their next step on the coach development ladder?

In order to get the most out of this event, we hope some of the following club representatives will be able to attend:
- Club Chairman or Director of Rugby
- Club Coaching Coordinator
- People responsible for appointment of Adult/Youth/Mini/Female/Disability coaches
- Volunteer Coordinator

This workshop will seek to help clubs ensure they are able to recruit and retain coaches at all levels and we hope for a good attendance.
