Team Announcement | Ulster U18 Clubs

Head coach Paddy Browne has named his squad for Saturday’s PwC Interprovincial Championship clash with Connacht at Affidea Stadium. Kick-off 1.00pm. 

After last week’s gut-wrenching defeat to Munster (34-33), the team will be hoping to see out the campaign with a home win. 

For the visit of Connacht, Browne has selected Joe Baile and Ben Ledlie as his two starting props, and they’ll be joined in the front row by captain Corbin Marsden at hooker. 

Ewan Morrison and James Fullerton lineout in the second row with Matthew Laird and Logan Cooke joining Joe Rice D’Cruze in the backrow. 

Freddy Harris and Joel Clarke start at scrumhalf and fly-half respectively, with Ayrton Pienaar and Isaac Neil being paired together in the centre.

Niall Kelly starts on the right wing, while Jacob Ennis-McManus will be hoping to keep up his try scoring exploits on the left side of the attack, with Coleraine’s Reuben Nicholl continues at full back. 

Dungannon pair Joel Marrion and Aydan Byrne are named as forward cover on the bench, along with Omagh’s Ryan Mitchell, Alexander Courtney and Alfie Lucy of Enniskillen. 

Evan Prior, Rhys Johnston and Bangor’s Jed Poutney provide cover for the backs.
