Under 18 girls team named ahead of clash with Leinster

Under 18 Girls Head Coach Dan Carson has named his team for Saturday’s PwC Interprovincial clash with Leinster at Affidea Stadium. Kick-off 11.30am. 

After a disappointing opening round defeat to Connacht, there was a much-improved display against Munster last time out.

The squad will no doubt take the positives from last week’s display as they hunt down a win before next week’s finals day in Mullingar. 

Banbridge RFC’s Katelyn Magee captains the team from the right wing with Omagh’s Anna Murray on the opposite wing and Zara Wright being named at full-back.

Omagh duo Sophie Hamilton and Emily Irwin continue in the centre while Rachel Douglas and Cara Cowan-Smyth start at scrumhalf and fly-half respectively.

Up front Alanna Scullion continues at hooker with Grace Fitzpatrick and Aoife Kirkpatrick either side of her.

Letterkenny’s Jessica Long comes in at second row along with Dearbhla Smith with Casey Johnston, Dakota Foster and Isabella Taylor teaming up in the backrow.

Shannon Smyth, Isabella Copeland and Lexi Fannin provide front row cover with Maisie Bowden and Charlotte Boyd also being named on the bench. 

Providing back-up for the backs are Anna Brown, Ava Fegan and Eve Hetherington.
