Under 18 Schools Team to face Munster announced

The Ulster Under 18 Schools team has been named for Saturday’s PwC Interprovincial opener against Munster at the Affidea Stadium. (Kick-off 1.00pm)

Head Coach Daryl Maxwell has included six members of the successful Campbell College team that claimed a dramatic Danske Bank Schools Cup win last March. 

David Nelson, Conor McKinney, Jack Thompson and Harry Wells all named to start, while Jack Best and Zach Thompson are included among the replacements. 

Larne Grammer School’s Jonnie Kennedy captains the side from fly-half and he is joined at half-back by RBAI’s Rocco Steen. 

Will Rogers and Lucas McKeown form the centre partnership with Jack Thompson and Harry Wells occupying the wings. 

RBAI’s Dylan Gray completes the back division by taking up the full-back spot. 

Up front hooker David Nelson is joined by Adam Crone and Conor McKinney with Will Downey being joined by Ballymena Academy’s Oscar Eddis in the second. 

James Reid starts at number eight with Elliot Magowan and Royal School Armagh’s James Flannagan named at blindside and openside flanker respectively.
