Daryl Maxwell has announced his team to face Leinster this Sunday afternoon in round two of this year’s PwC Under 18 Schools Interprovincial Championships.
Buoyed by his side’s 33-26 win in last weekend’s opener against Munster, Ulster will travel to Dublin high in confidence in the hope of making it two wins from their opening two games.
Maxwell and his coaches have given their pack a vote of confidence by naming the same eight that started last week’s win.
Adam Crone, David Nelson and Conor McKinley continue in the front row with Will Downey and Oscar Eddis in the second row.
Elliot Magowan and James Flannagan are named at blindside and openside flanker respectively, while James Reid will be hoping to continue his try scoring exploits from number eight.
There are three changes behind the scrum with Alex Turkington coming at scrum-half and Zach Thompson being brought in on the left-wing. There is also a start for Ballymena Academy's Zac Topping on the right wing, a move which sees Harry Wells move from the wing to centre.
Captain Jonnie Kennedy is named again at fly-half with Will Rogers partnering Wells in the centre with Dylan Gray continuing at full back.
Omagh Academy’s Issac Crawford has been named as replacement hooker with RBAI duo Matthew Watkins and Reuben Watkins providing additional front row cover, with Elijah Fitzpatrick and Ben Ellis are also being named on the bench.
Rocco Steen will provide half-back back-up, with Jack Best and Jack Thompson supplying additional back cover.
