The home side bossed every facet of the match, and the game was over as a contest by half time as Ulster scored 26 unanswered points in the first half.
Ulster had the first chance in the opening minutes, a jinking run from winger Rory Telfer helped the home side advance to the Munster 22, but after a couple of phases Ulster went off their feet at the ruck and conceded a penalty allowing the visitors to clear.
Ulster spurned another opportunity on six minutes, following a lineout, the home pack drove for the line but the ball was spilled trying to go over the whitewash.
However, the visitors' reprieve was temporary, from the goal line drop out, the ball went out, gifting Ulster a five-metre scrum.
From the set piece, the forwards patiently probed at the line before Queen’s winner, Rory Telfer went over from close range with Reece Malone adding the conversion, leaving Ulster 7-0 up.
Ulster’s second try arrived 16 minutes in, from an attacking lineout. The pack surged powerfully towards the Munster try line before centre Johnny Scott went over from close range for an unconverted try.
Ulster nearly had a third try on 26 minutes, flanker Reuben Crothers set off on a counterattack going from just over halfway to deep inside the Munster 22 but ran out of support and knocked on trying to offload.
Ulster breached the Munster defence again eight minutes before the break, once more it was the forwards that did the heavy lifting battering away at the line before Queen’s prop Jack Boal spun out of a tackle to touchdown with Malone converting.
Ulster extended their lead at the interval to 26-0 following a slick handling move from Telfer for his second try with Malone adding the extras.

Another mazy run from Telfer nearly brought Ulster a try shortly after the restart, but he was stopped close to the line which earned Munster winger Joe Costello a yellow card for a high tackle.
Ulster kicked the penalty to the corner from the line out, the forwards set up a driving maul and Crothers was propelled over the try line with Malone converting from a tight angle, Ulster 33-0.
Munster grabbed a converted consolation try with a rare sortie into the Ulster 22.
The home side had the final word, Munster had a defensive five metre lineout, they overthrew the ball to the back and home replacement hooker Zac Solomon gathered and sprinted over for Ulster’s sixth and final try with Malone adding the extras.
