The away side made a strong start, with number eight, Arthur Ashmore, making a fine break into the Ulster 22 and finding Ryan Ovenden on the wing. Ulster's backs recovered the situation well and forced a knock on, preventing what seemed like a certain try.
Ulster then got on the front foot after a lineout steal from Paddy Woods relieved pressure.
With Ulster venturing into the Leinster half for a sustained period, number eight, Charlie Hargy, made a powerful carry, which led to a penalty around the breakdown. Captain Owen O'Kane opted for the posts and he nailed the conversion to give Ulster an early 3-0 lead.
Leinster started to build some attacking pressure and were forcing the home side back. Tighthead prop, Angus Graham, gave Ulster some relief with an excellent turnover.
That relief was short lived, as Leinster showed their attacking quality in the following phases.
The slight scrum-half, Alex Crawley, spotted a gap in the Ulster defence and he spun around a tackle to dot down over the line with 16 minutes on the clock. Captain, Cory O’Connor, added the extra two with a simple conversion to make the score 3-7.
Leinster's second try minutes after was a sucker punch as it came from an attacking move in the Leinster half.
With the ball worked between Ulster's backs, O'Kane's pass was intercepted by Matthew Brennan, who read the ball well. Brennan galloped into Ulster territory and offloaded to winger, Ronan Kelly, who dived over to score left of the posts. O'Connor followed up with a conversion from the difficult angle, making it 3-14.
Ulster reacted well to the self-inflicted wound and were mighty close to a try after a powerful maul was held up on the Leinster tryline.
The home side kept pushing and got their reward. Quick-thinking from scrum-half, Fergus Callington, saw him race off the base of a scrum and into the Leinster 22. The nine beat defenders in his wake and fired a pass out wide to Matthew Callaghan, who produced the finish.
The try went unconverted from the difficult angle.
Before the half-time whistle blew, Leinster countered Ulster's try with their third score. After patient build up play in attack, James Curry, ran on at speed to a pass inside and the full-back had the pace to run through to score.
O'Connor's simple conversion took the score to 8-21 at half-time.
Ulster began the restart with good intent, with the aim of clawing back on the scoreboard. The forwards produced some big carries early on to drive the team forward. Harry McIlwane and Noah Bell provided good ball carrying with Ulster looking to get back in the game.
A superb individual break from his own half from Charlie Hargy gained Ulster territory towards the Leinster 5m line, however Ulster couldn't be accurate from the resulting lineout.
Leinster showed their ruthless streak once more, after launching their attack and powering forward towards the Ulster tryline. After a few pick and goes were stopped well by Ulster, Leinster's blindside flanker, Shane McGuigan, was too strong to stop at close range as he crashed through contact to score. O'Connor added the extras once more to make it 8-28.
Leinster didn't let up in the contest and scored a fifth try. Denied at the start of the match, Ryan Ovenden, made sure he would join in the scorers list with a finish in the corner, after some great passes from Matthew Brennan and Alvaro Swords in the Ulster 22 cutting the home team apart.
The conversion was missed by James Curry, but by then the result was put to bed and Leinster soon celebrated a well deserved victory to open the series.
