Applications Open!

We are now looking for people to join our Young Person's Advisory Group to have a say on issues and concerns facing young people involved in rugby in Ulster.

What is YPAG?

Volunteering on the YPAG is a great opportunity to represent your club or school at Ulster Branch level.

You will meet in person with other like-minded young people at least 3 times per season, complimented with short monthly online meetings throughout the season.

Working alongside Ulster Rugby staff and in conjunction with the Ulster Branch Age Grade Committee, the YPAG offers a great opportunity to come together as a group to discuss and address contemporary issues and concerns facing young people in involved in rugby in Ulster. The YPAG assists with developing ideas, suggestions and solutions, to continue building a positive pathway for youth rugby in Ulster.

Is this role right for you?

• All applicants must be aged 16-24.

• Applicants can be a player, coach, official or volunteer within a club or school.

• You should be passionate about rugby.

• You should be keen to participate in group discussions.

• You should be able to commit to this role for a minimum of 1 year and be available to attend 3 meetings throughout the season in person and short monthly online meetings.

We are particularly keen to involve people who are currently under-represented, for example: females, people with a disability and individuals from ethnic minorities.

What’s in it for you?

• You will gain experience working both on your own and within a group setting, discussing and identifying issues that concern young people in rugby, developing ideas or suggestions on how to tackle these issues.

• Your volunteering hours will be recognised by enrolling with the Sport Inspire Awards.

• Volunteers may also be given opportunities to participate in other volunteering programmes with Ulster Rugby.

• Volunteers may be given an opportunity to represent the province of Ulster on the IRFU Youth Council.
